The first session will entail a life history/clinical interview as well as presenting symptoms. This will give me an understanding of life up until this point in time as well as lay the foundation for me to help you notice patterns over the lifespan.

In ongoing therapy I let the session unfold organically. I believe we end up going in the direction we are meant to. I will gently guide to further explore each individual's unique history and how that may be taking shape present day. I will look for patterns and assist in helping you notice these as well as how the emotions may be manifesting in your physical body.

I have two HIPPA compliant messaging systems that you will gain access to upon beginning our work together. I also have a HIPPA compliant email as well as standard email, text messaging, and phone. I am ok with messages being sent between sessions if it will help set us up for the next session or for you to not forget information. However, response times will vary depending on when messages are sent. These systems are not crisis lines. 

 

If you are in crisis please go to your nearest emergency room or mental health receiving facility to be evaluated. I can be contacted afterwards to assist with any pertinent information for the receiving facility if you are admitted or afterwards for continuity of care. This is not done to discourage anyone, but to preserve safety since I am not always available and do not offer 24/7 crisis support. 

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. The earlier you know you will be unable to make it the better because I reserve each individual time slot for each client. If you are unable to make it I am able to open up that space to offer it to other clients who may be looking for an appointment. I send out appointment reminders 72 hours before the appointment, which provides a cancellation link. I can also be called, texted, or emailed to be notified, though the link works the best.

 

If a cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the appointment you are responsible for the full rate of the session ($180). Exceptions include emergencies such as being in the ER or hospital for yourself or close family members, death, or being quite sick suddenly.
